Biography: Dr. Wei An is currently a professor at Shanghai University of Engineering Science (since May 2015). He obtained his Ph.D. degree from University of Nebraska-Lincoln (USA), M.Sc. degree from Shanxi Institute of Coal Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and B.Sc. degree from Lanzhou University. He conducted computational catalysis research at Brookhaven National Laboratory, University of Oklahoma, and University of Alabama from 2008 to 2015. He has published over 70 peer-reviewed articles on nanostructured materials and (electro)catalysis, which received >3200 citations with H-index = 30. His current research interests are mainly focused on computational study on metal/alloy and 2D graphene-based materials for their catalytic properties in sustainable chemistry and energy conversion.
